Southeastern trains-2015

Train operator Southeastern has rewarded its 4,044 employees with shopping vouchers for their professionalism through the disruption to services during improvement works to London Bridge station.

Staff were given £25-worth of retail vouchers to spend at stores, such as including Boots, Mothercare and Sainsbury’s, as a one-off token of appreciation as the station undergoes its £6.5 billion renovation.

A Southeastern spokesperson said: “This one-off token of appreciation reflects the commitment of our staff in helping our passengers and the hard work that goes into delivering large-scale changes.

“In particular, it recognises their efforts to assist passengers during the introduction of our biggest timetable change for five years.

“Their dedication to minimise the impact of changes has contributed to maintaining strong performance figures, given the scale and significance of these changes.

“Each and every employee has a key role to play in that and we are proud to reward them for their efforts.”
