The Northern Ireland (NI) Prison Service is continuing to offer its 6,000 employees corporate eyecare for the seventh consecutive year.
The NI Prison Service will continue to offer driver eyecare, provided by Specsavers Corporate Eyecare, to all staff through e-vouchers, along with store vouchers in increments of £5 and £20.
The £35 e-vouchers enable employees to receive a full eye examination. They also include a pair of glasses from the £45 range, if required, or can be used as a £45 contribution towards other higher-priced frames.
Store vouchers can supplement the e-vouchers and upgrade from single-vision to bifocal or varifocal lenses.
Additionally, if a member of staff does not require glasses, the eyecare e-voucher can be used to purchase a pair of non-prescription sunglasses from a selected range.
The health and safety officer at the NI Prison Service, said: “The driver vouchers have proved to be a useful resource for our staff. The scheme saves them money and allows them to choose from a wide variety of frames.
“I have received very positive feedback from our staff. They have also been very flexible, allowing us to anonymise our department on the vouchers, so the user’s occupation is not shown.”
