Cybersecurity firm Egress has appointed a new chief people officer to manage and develop its 250 UK employees and 300 globally.
Laura Probert joined the organisation just before Christmas, following working in similar positions for gambling products firm Scientific Games, and Xaxis, an agency within advertising giant WPP.
She has more than 25 years of experience within HR and people functions and will, in particular, be focused on talent management, employee wellbeing and culture innovation within the London-based organisation.
Probert said of her new role: “Egress is at a pivotal point in its journey. The cybersecurity industry is going through a period of significant growth, and we have a great opportunity ahead of us to push the limits of what we can create.
“I want us to be at the leading edge of change and for our people feel this is the most exciting part of their career journey. As part of that I'm hugely passionate about building a culture of diversity and inclusion, where people feel that their voices are heard and their uniqueness celebrated. I’m looking forward to sharing more as we take those leaps and bounds,” she said.
Egress chief executive Tony Pepper added: “I’m proud of the culture we’ve built at Egress, and our people team has done a truly fantastic job of continuing to cultivate it during the last two years of remote work. With her exceptional leadership experience and fantastic track record, Laura will create an environment in which our people can thrive and reach their full potential.”
