Employees at human resources and payroll service provider Midland HR are taking part in a range of activities to mark National Payroll Week (NPW).
The organisation, which employs 500 staff, will host events at its HR Outsourcing (HRO) Centre in Nottingham (pictured). The activities are themed ‘It plays to learn’, in line with this year’s National Payroll Week theme of ‘Educating the nation’.
Staff will take part in games and quizzes, in addition to a ‘Great British Bake Off’-style contest that will be judged by Samantha Mann, senior research and policy officer at the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals (CIPP).
Emma Long, HRO operations director at MidlandHR, said: “National Payroll Week is a fantastic and fun way to recognise the contribution that payroll, and the people that work within it, make to the UK economy.
“MidlandHR is passionate about investing in its people with 27 of our HRO team having enrolled this year in CIPP for year one studies, to join the 95% that are already CIPD or CIPP qualified.
“Continually supporting our employees in their personal and professional development through recognised training programmes benefits not only the individuals but also the organisation and its customers.”
