Cisco UK and Ireland will compete in the Leaderboard charity team relay triathlon this weekend to raise funds for Sports Relief.

Led by Cisco UK and Ireland's chief executive Phil Smith, 30 UK chief executive officers and up to 1,000 participants from various organisations will meet at Eton Dorney Lakes on Sunday 3 July 2016 to take part in the team relay swim, cycle and run challenge, organised by Human Race and sponsored in partnership with Cigna.

Aiming to raise £300,000 for charity, sports personalities Steve Backley and Roger Black will also be joining the Cisco squad.

Teams can track their progress using wireless activity trackers, using Connect Athlete by Dimension Data to monitor performance statistics and biometric information.

Smith, who is also a Team GB triathlon world championship competitor, said: “The Leaderboard brings together people from all corners of the business and tech community, not only to raise money for a great cause, but to remind ourselves of the intrinsic connection between sport, business and technology and their ability to change lives.

“The Leaderboard is a great opportunity for [organisations] and businesses to focus on the very positive effects of health and wellbeing. Inspiring teams to moblise through an event like the Leaderboard is great fun, and a fantastic way of bringing people together in the pursuit of health.”
