Logica has relaunched a workplace giving scheme to its 6,000 staff as part of the Geared for Giving Campaign.

The IT and business services company responded to a letter from MP Anne Snelgrove, who launched the Geared for Giving Campaign last year in the House of Commons.

The scheme enables employees to give to the charity of their choice, tax effectively, directly from their salaries. Giving to charity in this way can increase donations by up to 40%.

The firm is working with the Workplace Giving UK team to take part in a series of workshops held across the country, which will help promote the newly-launched Workplace Giving Scheme.

Pam Chase, UK HR director at Logica, said: “At Logica, we have always supported 'give as you earn' schemes to facilitate financial donations by staff via the payroll. We also firmly believe in encouraging our staff to support charities and participate in local community events. We are delighted to be working with Workplace Giving UK to help those in need within our community.”
