By Saul Meyer Leading employee engagement and reward and recognition provider Xexec has developed a bespoke employee discounts and concierge package for international law firm Gowling WLG. The firm is the latest major professional services organisation to have signed up with Xexec, whose client base includes all Big Four global accountancy firms, as well as all five ‘magic circle’ law firms.

Gowling WLG is an international law firm with over 1,400 legal experts working in 19 offices across the globe and specialising in a range of sectors including energy, financial services, life sciences, natural resources, infrastructure, real estate and tech. Its bespoke discounts scheme with Xexec offers all UK staff and partners access to over 3,000 discounts, ranging from vouchers for lifestyle, health and well-being products to cashback and shopping cards at a range of retailers. In addition, Xexec’s lifestyle concierge service will provide tickets to sports, arts and entertainment events across the UK as well as restaurant bookings, flights and hotel rooms.

Having previously run a largely ad hoc, manual employee discounts scheme, centered around the firm’s own intranet, Gowling WLG has adopted Xexec’s fully integrated, employee benefits portal, which can be accessed at home, work or on the move. The scope of the portal can be expanded if and when new benefits are added and the firm is also in discussions with Xexec about the potential addition of a reward and recognition programme further down the line.

Neil McKie, head of reward and performance, Gowling WLG commented: “We’re proud to be recognised as a top employer and we take employee benefits seriously. Not only does it allow us to attract and retain the best talent, but it also helps us get the most out of our teams. I had worked with Xexec in my previous roles at both Deloitte and Herbert Smith Freehills and had seen what they could do first hand, so this was a fairly easy decision from my point of view. The profile of our staff, their interests and buying power meant that we were particularly interested in what Xexec offer in terms of concierge. I know that our team really values the range of benefits that this can bring to their lives both in and out of the office”.

Saul Meyer, co-founder of Xexec, added: “Professional services is an area that we know very well and we are delighted to work with Neil and his team at Gowling WLG on the implementation of these schemes.”
