JetBlue Airways has launched a peer-to-peer recognition programme for its 14,500 employees based across the Americas.
The Lift programme, which is provided by Globoforce, allows the airline to engage and motivate employees to best exemplify its five core values: safety, caring, integrity, fun and passion.
It is available to employees in Aruba, the Bahamas, Barbados, Bermuda, Columbia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Mexico, Saint Lucia, the Turks and Caicos Islands, the United States and the Virgin Islands.
Joanna Geraghty, chief people officer at JetBlue Airways, said: “Our employees influence our culture most of all.
“This recognition programme with Globoforce enables us to positively reinforce the very behaviours and contributions that make JetBlue’s culture a measurable and valuable business asset.”
Through the programme, JetBlue has been able to:
- Improve employee satisfaction. Within three months of embarking on the programme, an internal monthly survey found an 88% increase in staff satisfaction with reward and recognition associated with positive behaviours.
- Reach a mobile workforce. The programme enables easy accessibility for JetBlue’s highly mobile crew in all the countries it operates.
- Improve the reward experience for employees. JetBlue staff now have access to millions of reward options, including gift cards, merchandise and online charitable options.
