Waste management organisation Helistrat has been accredited as a living wage employer by the Living Wage foundation.
The Portsmouth-based organisation, which employs 55 members of staff, has committed to paying all employees at least the voluntary living wage rate of £8.25 an hour.
The living wage is calculated according to the cost of living in the UK. It is higher than the government's £7.20 an hour national living wage rate, which is mandatory for those over 25.
Harvey Laud, chief executive officer at Helistrat, said: “We firmly believe we have a responsibility to ensure that all our employees have the opportunity to provide for themselves and enjoy a certain quality of life.
"We also realise that this quality of life directly impacts on the attitude of our team and the quality of their work. Becoming a living wage employer is not only the right thing to do morally, it also makes sounds business sense.”
