Recruitment firm Hays has rolled out wellbeing support for more than 2,700 employees across 79 sites in the UK and Ireland employees in order to improve its health and wellbeing strategy.
Employees can now access 24/7 immediate integrated medical, mental health and personal safety support from a team of professionals via an early intervention app, provided by Sonder..
This can provide help to employees and their immediate family members via chat messaging or phone calls, for example, by securing a GP appointment.
Previously, Hays offered three separate resources to provide health and wellbeing support to its workforce. These included a digital doctor service for medical support, an employee assistance programme and health-related guidance through a wellbeing app.
It decided to review its offering due to low take up resulting from restrictions on operational availability, usage caps and confusion among employees over which product to use.
Hannah Pearsall, head of wellbeing at Hays, said: “The 24/7 support available is a real game changer for our staff. By providing a single point of entry, without any time or qualifying restrictions, our people are getting the right support at the right time, creating a happier and healthier workforce in the process.
“The lines between work and home continue to be blurred. Worries at home can soon escalate and permeate the workplace if they aren’t addressed promptly and properly. In making health and wellbeing support as accessible as possible, not just for employees but immediate family too, irrespective of time or circumstance, Sonder is just one part of our wellbeing strategy that ensures our people can perform at their best at work, while feeling supported at home.”
