EXCLUSIVE: Gareth Davies, head of health, safety and environment at Nokia will lead a discussion about understanding the role of HR in wellbeing, and what businesses can do to support their staff in the future, particularly by altering the traditional working day at Employee Benefits Connect 2020.
In the session, titled 'Understanding the role of HR in the digital tomorrow: Supporting flexible working to meet shifting employee demands', Davies will outline the role of HR in managing employee wellbeing and flexible working.
Drawing from his own professional background in safety and risk, Davies believes that businesses can do more to encourage team members to look after their wellbeing, positively impacting productivity and engagement.
Davies said: "How we run our business, such as offering guidance, defining rules, the way we work, and how we can enhance the working day are all things that we can absolutely control as a business today."
Employee Benefits Connect 2020 is a future-focused event, aimed at helping senior HR professionals discover the trends shaping reward, and promote blue-sky thinking for the years ahead. It will take place on Wednesday 26 February 2020 at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge.
