Goodman Masson re-launched its payroll giving scheme at the end of February.
The scheme, which is open to the recruiting firm’s 120 employees, had been in place for five years but only two staff had enrolled due to lack of awareness.
Keiley Shipperley, executive assistant at Goodman Masson, said: “We have had a lot of new starters over the past five years so half the firm did not even know it existed.
"It was a good way to explain what the scheme was and give staff a chance to join it.”
A representative from Workplace Giving UK was on hand one lunch in the firm’s chill-out area, and information was sent out in emails, flyers and posters, to make staff aware of the benefit.
In July 2010 the firm began to build up its wellbeing offering, starting with a whole week of events around healthy eating, exercise, time management and relaxation.
Shipperley added: “We also had a winter wellbeing day with vitamins, tissues and hot lemons, and Boots administering flu vaccinations onsite. We have ongoing benefits such as weekly fruit deliveries and massages on ‘Feel Good Thursdays’.”
Goodman Masson was also ranked second among small organisations in The Sunday Times Best Companies to Work For and was recognised with a special employee wellbeing award.
