EY has introduced a return-to-work programme to help individuals who have taken a career break to re-enter the workplace.
The EY Reconnect initiative will support experienced professionals who have been out of the workplace for between two and 10 years.
The 12-week programme will include training, mentoring and coaching opportunities. Participants will work on client projects and have access to EY’s people networks over the 12-week period, such as the organisation’s Parents' Network, Women’s Network, Black Network and Disability Network.
The scheme is open to those who have manager-level experience and above. Twelve applicants will take part in the programme, which will commence in September 2016 across the UK.
Anne-Marie Balfe, global talent leader, people advisory services at EY, said: “It is a commercial imperative for our business to recruit and retain the brightest and best people.
"EY Reconnect will help us to identify exceptional talent in the market, providing a supportive environment and a development opportunity for those who perhaps have been deterred from applying for roles.”
