EXCLUSIVE: For the second consecutive year, employer funding (52%) tops the list of the ways in which benefits are paid for, according to research by Employee Benefits.
The Benefits research 2019, which surveyed 290 HR decision-makers, was published in May 2019. It found that employer-funding has risen in popularity from 47% in 2016.
Looking to the future, 56% believe their benefits funding methods will remain broadly the same, while one in five (20%) think that employers will fund more options for staff. Like last year, only a very small percentage believe employers will pass on the full cost to employees more often.
