BNP Paribas has extended the emergency childcare and carer service offered in its US banking division to its 3,500 permanent UK staff.
The service provides up to 10 days’ emergency care for children in the form of a nanny or nursery place, or in-home care for dependent adults.
The bank’s US offices have provided the benefit since 2008. Its UK employee support group took part in choosing provider Bright Horizons.
Clare Botterman, deputy head of HR, said: “Employees wanted to see the initiative introduced, and leverage their skills as staff and as parents in understanding what good-quality childcare provision should look like.”
