EXCLUSIVE: The University of Lincoln was presented with the highly coveted Grand Prix award for the second year in a row at the Employee Benefits Awards 2022, which took place on Friday 24 June.
The Grand Prix is the ‘winner of winners’ accolade, and is selected from the winning entries across all other categories. It is given to the organisation that most impressed judges with its overall achievements.
University of Lincoln’s winning entry was originally submitted in the Best pensions strategy category at the 20th annual Employee Benefits Awards, which it won. The judges said its measures to provide an alternative auto-enrolment savings scheme for its population of student workers with campus jobs was transformational, as no other organisation has done anything to provide an alternative method of saving for a group of employees not typically eligible for auto-enrolment.
They were incredibly impressed by the organisation’s achievements and felt this initiative had the potential scaleability to be adopted more widely, acknowledging that engaging younger employees with pensions can be challenging, yet doing so will have long-term benefits.
Employee Benefits extends its congratulations to all of the winners, highly commended entries, and finalists for the awards this year, which represented the most exciting and innovative HR reward and benefits strategies, supportive teams and outstanding individuals in the field of reward and benefits.
Held in partnership with Aon, hundreds of HR, benefits and reward professionals attended the Employee Benefits Awards at The Honourable Artillery Company (HAC) in London.
Employee Benefits would like to thank the event sponsors, esteemed judging panel, and all of the organisations that entered the awards. Keep an eye out on the Employee Benefits website for more details about the winning entries and a gallery of highlights from the event.
The Employee Benefits Awards 2023 will open for entries in November 2022.
