Staff at Asda received a ‘thank-you’ £20 gift voucher to spend at the store, contributions to their Christmas party and a free festive lunch. Jane Earnshaw, head of reward and recognition at Asda, said: “It is our busiest trading time and helping our employees at that time is really important to us.”
Adactus Housing Group sent out a Christmas card with payslips, which details the savings staff can make through their voluntary benefits scheme. Michelle Grundy, HR manager at Adactus, said: “It is quite catchy on the front, with a Christmas tree and baubles for the shops they can use on the site.”
Nottingham City Council is also using its voluntary benefits plan, Workperks, to celebrate the season with its 10,500 staff. Abayomi Anifowose, reward and retention facilitator at the council, said: “Some of the local businesses involved in our voluntary benefits scheme provide Christmas deals exclusively to our staff.”
