Kirsty Pitcher 1

Pizza chain Domino’s has appointed Kirsty Pitcher as people director to lead the evolution of its people strategy.

Pitcher, who stepped into the role from 14 March, will focus on advancing the organisation’s inclusion and diversity agenda, its recruitment and retention, and embedding its core values into the culture of the business.

Her most recent role was as HR director, retail and operations for Boots across the UK and Ireland, which she has held since 2018. In this position, Pitcher led the HR function through the Covid-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic, including developing Boots’ policies to support its employees. She also led the creation and delivery of Boots’ leadership and development strategy.

Pitcher, who has more than 20 years of experience in the industry, has worked in HR roles across the retail, hospitality, healthcare, and automotive industries, as well as other franchise-model businesses. Prior to her role at Boots, she was HR director at Jaguar Land Rover for six years and has also worked at Whitbread, Punch Pubs and Spirit Group.

Dominic Paul, chief executive officer of Domino’s Pizza Group, said: “[Pitcher's] experience will help us continue to attract and retain the best talent, alongside offering great development opportunities across our system as we continue to successfully grow our business. We have a world class leadership team, and Kirsty’s experience and enthusiasm will build on our ability to take advantage of the opportunities that lie ahead for us.”

Pitcher added: “It’s an exciting time to be joining Domino’s. The business already has a fantastic track record of developing talent internally, with a significant proportion of store managers and franchisees progressing through the business. I can’t wait to get to know the team and build on these great foundations.”
