The Queen Elizabeth’s Foundation (QEF) for Disabled People has appointed Premier to provide actuarial, consultancy and administration services for its defined benefit (DB) pension scheme.
Its DB scheme has 600 members and assets of £24.5 million.
Gary Allcott, deputy chief executive and finance director at QEF, said: “Premier was selected for a number of reasons but, most significantly, we were impressed with the knowledge and insight [it was] able to demonstrate in terms of the issues that charities specifically face.”
John Reeve, head of consulting services at Premier, added: “The charity sector has very distinctive needs which, all too often, are not being adequately addressed by the market.
“We have therefore done a lot of research and development in this space to understand what they want and how to meet their specific needs. This has positioned us very well to make a real difference to charity schemes.”
