Asda has introduced a time and attendance system across all of its distribution centres to comply with working time directives.
The supermarket chain also hopes that the system, which records staff working time, will improve its absence management reporting, as well as help staff work out holiday entitlement.
The firm launched the system, provided by Kronos Workforce, last month, to fit into its existing HR and pay process.
