Severn Trent Water has launched an all-employee car ownership plan (Aecop) to enable its 5,000 staff to lease their own vehicle at a discounted rate over a set period.
Under the new arrangement, also known as an affinity scheme, employees can select a vehicle, arrange a lease period with the provider, and then pay a pre-arranged monthly fee. At the end of the lease, staff can return the car or pay the rest of the cost to own the vehicle.
Trish West, reward manager at Severn Trent Water, said: "This is a very attractive opportunity to drive a new car at a competitive rate with the added bonus of insurance and maintenance taken care of as part of the package, if required."
Leasing company Grosvenor Hall Group is providing the plan.
