Mitie Group has revamped its fleet management provision as part of efforts to reduce the costs associated with its 6,000-strong fleet.
As part of its new contract with Zenith Provecta the property and asset management firm will also take advantage of a maintenance service for 3,000 vehicles, accident management and daily rentals.
A Mitie-branded website has also been developed to provide functional, real-time data to assist in reducing the cost of the fleet.
The new arrangement was designed to ensure greater total cost control and transparency,as well as managing vehicle downtime effectively.
Justin Patterson, head of fleet for Mitie Group, said: “We have talented and driven people, delivering world-class services, which keep us ahead of the competition. Many of these people need to be mobile at all times and Zenith Provecta’s downtime management solutions for both maintenance and accident management, particularly its same day service maintenance and repair completion rates, were an important factor in [its] selection as a provider.”
