Active Risk Management (ARM) has launched an electronic driver permit, which allows fleet managers to check if their employees are eligible to drive on company business.
The online permit creates an auditable record for each driver with details of risk assessments, driver training and licence checks, which can be updated over time.
For grey fleet drivers, who use their own cars on for business journeys, checks can be extended to determine if they have business insurance, a valid MOT and service, and up-to-date car tax.
It is delivered through ARM's management information system, PACE, which sends reminder emails to drivers if they need to renew any aspect of the criteria.
