Chiswick-Park

Business campus Chiswick Park has launched its Summer on the Park 2019 event programme for the 9,000 people working from its West London-based site; this includes the creation of a sandy beach and outdoor film screenings.

Running between Friday 24 May and Friday 13 September 2019, Summer on the Park will provide employees based at Chiswick Park with a variety of activities and events to participate in, to encourage them to take time away from their desks and enjoy the workplace environment. The majority of the events will take place between 12pm and 2pm, during employees’ lunch breaks.

Summer on the Park 2019 will centre around Chiswick Park Island; between Monday 1 July and Friday 2 August 2019, the campus will transform into a sandy beach, providing a month of activities such as sports leagues and film screenings.

Chiswick Park will operate a free film festival every Thursday evening in July from 6pm, using its outdoor screen. This will be available for both employees and members of the public. Employees can also attend an Urban Food Fest Market, available on Thursday 27 June, Thursday 1 August and Thursday 29 August 2019, which will offer employees a range of sweet and savoury foodstuffs.

Summer on the Park also incorporates the site’s annual family fun day on Friday 26 July 2019 between 12pm and 5pm. This community event allows families to attend an afternoon of children’s activities, live entertainers and performers.

The Summer on the Park 2019 programme will feature two wellbeing weeks; these will be held in May and August. Other themed events include Drive Time, Art on the Park, Adventure Land and Tech City.

Around 67 organisations operate from Chiswick Park, including Danone, Discovery, Disney, QVC and Starbucks.

Matt Coulson, chief executive officer at Chiswick Park Enjoy-Work, said: “Our events programme is created to add enjoyment to the working lives of our guests. We believe that the environment on the campus and the activities we offer help our guests refocus on their work and increase their productivity.

“This year we are also looking at involving more of the local community into our Chiswick Park community with events such as the Urban Food Fest food markets and the film festival. It is going to be a great summer.”
