This is the first time the firm has implemented an employee engagement platform, which has been launched to communicate a common set of values and culture to its workforce.

The programme, provided by Reward Gateway, also aims to reward and motivate Checkatrade.com’s employees.

The inititative, known as FAB, is made up of a staff discount hub called SmartSpending, along with a bikes-for-work scheme, childcare vouchers, a thank you card platform, and an annual leave buy and sell booking system, SmartLeave.

Susan Allen, head of HR and learning and development at Checkatrade.com, said: “We’re delighted to have sourced a means by which we can not only improve and revitalise our business-wide communication but also offer our staff practical and exciting discounts and benefits.

“We’re looking to develop the capacity of this initiative so that it becomes a go-to shop window for employees to learn more and join in with what’s happening in our organisation.”
