The Australian government is looking to employ two sun-seeking caretakers to manage an island just off of the Great Barrier Reef, near Queensland.
Working directly for the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority, the best person for the job will be located on the Low Isles, approximately 15km northeast of Port Douglas and 60km north of Cairns.
The picturesque island includes two coral cays: Low Island and Woody Island, and may seem like a 365 days per year holiday, however, the lucky applicant will not be able just kick back and relax, as there is a lot of hard work involved in maintaining this remote beauty spot.
However, the new recruits will be able to benefit from the warmth of the sun as they go about their day-to-day tasks, but they will need to run around after the hoards of tourists that visit the island on a daily basis, ensuring the island remains picture perfect.
But hard work pays off and during their downtime, the caretakers can take advantage of the perks of the job; taking in the epic views of the ocean and keeping an eye out for reef shark, giant clam and sea turtle sightings.
There is also no need to venture very far to do a spot of snorkelling or to pitch up a hammock and take in the amazing views, as the Low Isle caretakers will reside on the island full-time.
Applicants need to register their interest quickly as applications close on 25th September 2020.
We are unsure of the annual salary on offer but here at Employee Benefits, we would gladly take on the job for free...
