Employee volunteers from Cabot Financial will be manning the phones and taking donations for this year’s Children in Need appeal on Friday19 November.
This is the third consecutive year that Cabot Financial has supported the event. Last year more than £220,000 was raised in public donations to the call centre at Kings Hill, West Malling.
In addition to being an official call centre for Children in Need, last year employees organised and took part in a whole host of fundraising activities in the run up to the main event.
These included dress down and fancy dress days, a mile of pennies around the Cabot Financial building, book and bake sales, and a heavily contested fuss-ball competition.
Three male employees even had their head shaved for the cause, while the executive directors donned their aprons and served refreshments to employees manning the phone lines.
This year will be no different with a variety of activities organised surrounding the Children in Need event.
Ken Maynard, group chief executive of Cabot Financial Group, said: “We were delighted to have been asked once again to support the BBC Children in Need appeal.
“I am extremely proud of our employees’ willingness to give up their time to support such a worthy cause.
“Being part of the Children in Need fundraising activity gives Cabot Financial a great opportunity to contribute to the annual telethon that has become so valuable to thousands of disadvantaged children and young people throughout the UK.”
