EXCLUSIVE: Bromford Group has launched total reward statements to raise awareness among employees of the total benefit package the organisation offers.

The statements have been sent out to 987 employees. The majority received the statement online, while 26 employees without access to a computer at home have been sent a paper-based statement.

The housing developer has included two sections on the statements. The first focuses on the benefits that have a monetary value, such as salary, pension contributions and holiday entitlement, while the second section highlights benefits, such as the employee assistance programme and family-friendly policies.

Jo Ross, quality manager at Bromford Group, said: “These are things that you can’t put a monetary value on, but they are really important as part of our culture.”

The organisation included employee representatives in the statement’s design process and carried out an employee communication campaign prior to the launch, which included the use of its intranet, SMS text messaging and internal communications feed, Yammer.

Bromford plans to continue the communications in order to encourage employees to go online and look at their statements.
