BHSF has partnered with financial planners Torquil Clark to offer an auto-enrolment product to employers.

The employee benefits provider and health insurer has around 3,000 employer clients, the majority of which fall into the small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) bracket and the auto-enrolment staging window of 2013/2014.

BHSF will offer employers access to Torquil Clark’s auto-enrolment product via its flexible benefits portal, Flexsme.

Brian Hall, sales and marketing director at BHSF, said: “We are hearing from many [employer] clients that remain unprepared for auto-enrolment and are ill-resourced to research the issue fully.

“The technology offered by Torquil Clark will complete the functionality of our Flexsme product and fit into our Flexlite-type offerings too.”

John Chapman, managing director at Torquil Clark, added: “[Organisations] are struggling to commit the time and resource required to provide a compliant and regulatory-approved auto-enrolment system to their employees.

“Eighteen months’ planning and the requirement to have a regulatory-approved 12-month plan are creating too much pressure for many [organisations].

“Our system provides a cost-effective and compliant solution beyond just the pension scheme, something we look forward to offering to BHSF’s [employer] clients.”
