Avanti Travel Insurance employees bungee jumped for local charity Parc Essex on 7 May.

Staff at the travel insurance firm raised £500 for the charity, which creates outdoor adventure playgrounds and indoor resource centres for children with disabilities, by jumping from 100 feet up at The Orange near Braintree in Essex.

Avanti employees have been working with local charities to raise money through a variety of events, including an Easter Egg raffle and a Grand National sweepstake.

The organisation has also set up a health and wellbeing club, called Fat Fighters, to encourage staff to lead healthy lifestyles while donating money to charity.

Glen Smith, managing director at Avanti Travel Insurance, said: “It is great to see staff engaging with local charities and suggesting ways that we can be more integrated with the local community.”
