Asons Solicitors has given its 200 members of staff incentives and prizes such as a football-themed casual dress day, gifts and a raffle.

The initiatives were offered as the law firm prepares to open a new legal department on 12 October, as well as to foster a competitive spirit among staff and motivate them to meet their targets.

A casual dress day took place on 9 September, during which employees were encouraged to wear football shirts, helping to raise £172 for Bolton Hospice.

A raffle was also held on 11 September, with one member of staff winning the chance to become chief executive officer for the day.

On 28 September, all employees were given free food, such as kebabs and samosas, to celebrate Eid al-Adha, the festival of the sacrifice.

Other rewards for top performers who achieve their targets include surprise gifts from Selfridges and a flat screen television.

Katy Evans, head of human resources at Asons Solicitors, said: “It’s an exciting time for Asons, and one that encourages growth and subsequent opportunities. The firm knows that its employees are our greatest asset and aims to focus its HR initiatives to reward value added contribution.”
