Archant has recognised staff, teams and publications from across the company at its annual awards ceremony which took place in London.
Editorial, commercial and support staff and teams were presented with trophies at the reception and lunch at the Landmark Hotel attended by around 160 divisional winners.
Winners included Archant Dialogue ad sales manager Samantha Overton who has doubled turnover in the last three years; Archant Specialist editor Sean Samuels who has produced ground-breaking work both on the web and in magazine design; Archant Specialist reprographic manager, Neil Puttnam and Archant Life ad director Dominic Green who transformed the London division within his first year in the business.
Also named as winners were the Archant Life circulation team; the Eastern Daily Press future 50 project from Archant Norfolk and The English Home from Archant Specialist
Archant chief executive, Adrian Jeakings, said the progress the company has made over the tough last 12 months is due in large part to its staff.†
“While the impact of the recession is far from over, it is already clear Archant has made great progress during 2009. We have launched new products and services, including new newspapers, websites and ground-breaking mobile sites.
“This year we will build on the foundations laid in 2009. We will ramp up our investment in business development and will be launching more new products and services.
“But none of this is possible without the people of Archant who, day in day out, work across the country to make us the company we are today. To my mind, they are the best people in the industry.”
