Alton Towers is offering its employees training sessions from a contortionist to help them deal with the dark and cramped conditions of the park’s newest attraction.
Staff working on the Nemesis Sub-Terra, which features a network of catacombs, tunnels and dark cramped cages, have complained of claustrophobia.
Alton Towers has therefore hired contortionist Pixie Le Knot to run a series of claustrophobia workshops for staff.
Katherine Duckworth, head of sales and revenue at Alton Towers, said: “Nemesis Sub-Terra is set to push you to your limits.
“While our guests experience around four minutes of the intensity underground, our employees spend eight hours in the claustrophobic confines of this attraction.
“We’ve given our staff an unusual training session and hope Le Knot will help them overcome their fears of small spaces in the attraction.”
