Adobe Systems, Edmunds, Salesforce and Ultimate Software are among the best US workplaces in the technology sector, according to Great Place to Work and Fortune.
The Best Workplaces in Technology 2017 rankings are based on feedback from more than 42,000 employees at Great Place to Work-certified employers in the technology industry.
The rankings are based on employee feedback about how frequently they experience behaviours that create a great workplace, taking into consideration factors such as the quality of the employee benefits programme, support for a work-life balance, transparency of communication, degree of collaboration, and the opportunity for professional development. The rankings also take into account whether these experiences are consistent regardless of gender, race, ethnicity and job role.
Employers with 1,000 employees or more are ranked in the large organisation category, with Ultimate Software gaining first place, followed by Intuit and Salesforce. Businesses with under 1,000 employees are ranked in the small and medium organisations category, with Edmunds taking the top spot. The California-based business was followed by GoFundMe in second place, and TCG in third place.
