Admiral Group has increased the take-up of its pension scheme following a three-month awareness campaign.

The campaign, which was supported by the insurance firm’s adviser Jelf Employee Benefits and pension provider Scottish Widows, included one-to-one briefings with staff and pensions packs.

It led to an increase in pension membership from 1,100 to 2,000 employees. An additional 100 employees moved across from two existing pension schemes, while two hundred employees also increased their pension contributions following the campaign.

Richard Thorne, people services manager at Admiral Group, said: “Scottish Widows and Jelf have dedicated a lot of time and effort into understanding our staff and the challenge of encouraging a relatively young workforce into a pension scheme.

“Between us, we have created a buzz around the scheme and developed a format that meant they saw every single staff member and told them about the pension scheme, and why it is so important.”
