Car dealer ACF Car Finance has been awarded a platinum award by the Institute of Fundraising for its commitment to payroll giving.
The platinum-level award, which was introduced in 2012 to mark the 25th anniversary of payroll giving, is held by 30 UK organisations.
It celebrates employers that encourage staff to make regular charitable donations, deducted from their salary, through payroll-giving schemes, and promote the scheme to employees.
ACF Car Finance promotes its scheme through staff briefings by automotive industry charity BEN. Representatives from the charity toured the firm’s showrooms around the UK and made presentations to staff.
Jane Whittle, marketing manager and chair of ACF Car Finance’s charity committee, said: “Staff† have responded very enthusiastically from the outset to the idea of donating from their salaries, and the scheme complements our other fundraising work for BEN and local charities.
“Receiving the platinum award is a fantastic honour, and it’s great to know that everyone’s efforts are being acknowledged and supported in this way.”
