Alphabet has launched an electric cars consultancy service.

The AlphaElectric service aims to help organisations make decisions on the use and adoption of plug-in cars in their fleet programmes, and to increase the use of electric cars in the UK to more than 10,000 in the next three years.

It is based on a four-step process, which addresses the barriers of adopting the use of electric cars.

The service aims to:

  • Assess the practical and financial implications of introducing electric cars to fleet policies.
  • Provide advice on the appropriate car.
  • Support the selection and installation of the most effective charging solution.
  • Provide flexible mobility packages.

Richard Schooling, chief executive of Alphabet, said: “The single biggest barrier to electric [car] adoption, both privately and corporately, is a lack of joined-up thinking.

“Our new service, AlphaElectric, walks fleet managers through a simple, four-step process that takes away the stress and misconception about electric [cars].”
