Wightlink has appointed a pensions consultancy to provide actuarial and administrative services for its £70-million defined benefit (DB) pension scheme.
The trustees of the scheme selected Punter Southall following a competitive tender process.
Bill Frampton, chair of the trustees at the ferry company, said: “It is clear that [Punter Southall] understands our issues and this insight will ensure that the pension scheme is in very good hands.”
Neil Lalley, principal at Punter Southall, added: “We look forward to developing a long working partnership with [Wightlink] in order to provide the best possible service to its members.”
