Employee Benefits Live and Personnel Today webinar, Ethnicity and disability pay gaps: Ready to report? is due to be broadcast live at 11am on Thursday 17 July.

Attendees will be able to hear Rob Moss, editor of Personnel Today; Debbie Lovewell-Tuck, editor of Employee Benefits, and a panel of experts discuss the government’s intention to legislate mandatory ethnicity and disability pay reporting. It is now in the process of collating responses to its consultation on how best to implement the measures.

The 60-minute webinar will explore what employers need to know in preparation for the introduction of this legislation, what data they will need to collate, how this can be best collected and reported, and what challenges they might experience.

It will also explore what is likely to be covered in the ethnicity and disability pay gap reporting requirements, what the ethical and privacy considerations are, practical tips on explaining the process to employees, and what action to take when pay gaps are identified.

The expert panel features employers that have got ahead of the curve and voluntarily reported their ethnicity and disability pay gap data to share their experiences, as well as a legal representative to explain the details of the legal requirements and any pitfalls to avoid.

It will include:

  • Ranjit Dhindsa, head of employment at law firm Fieldfisher
  • Aaron Lloyd, total reward lead for Birmingham City Council

Viewers will be able to submit their questions to the panel throughout the event.
