Law firm Trowers & Hamlins has moved its international flexible benefits scheme online and launched total reward statements.

The scheme, called 'TH & me', is available to 800 staff, including equity partners, across the UK and Middle East. A mini paper version of the plan offering fewer perks was launched in January 2008.

Staff receive a selection of perks, including life assurance, income protection and holiday. They can buy or sell life assurance up to twice their salary, and up to five days' holiday a year. Staff receive cash for any perks sold. All extra cover is paid for via salary deduction. In the UK, the plan also includes bikes-for-work and a non-contributory group personal pension, offered via salary sacrifice. In Middle Eastern countries, staff receive an end-of-service bonus, according to local labour laws, depending on the number of years worked. The website, developed by Thomsons Online Benefits, uses multiple languages and currencies.

Paul Robinson, director of human resources, said: "We have been able to motivate employees."
