Strathclyde Fire and Rescue is launching childcare vouchers and bikes-for-work for its 3,500 staff.
Europe’s second largest fire authority is set to introduce childcare vouchers later this month to help employees maintain a work-life balance. Elinor Walton, human resources adviser, said: “We have sent communications out to say that childcare vouchers are in the pipeline, and the initial reaction has been positive.”
The organisation has also launched bikes-for-work scheme, following feedback from staff that they would like a health related benefit.
Both benefits have been publicised to staff using the organisation’s online voluntary benefits scheme website which was launched earlier this year.
