Sainsbury’s is celebrating the opening of its 1,000th store by doubling its staff discount from 10% to 20%.
Following the opening of its store in Irvine, Ayrshire all 150,000 employees will receive 20% discount between 1 and 4 December.
Justin King, chief executive at Sainsbury’s, said: "Opening our 1,000th store is a huge milestone for us and shows our determination to continue to invest and create jobs in the UK.†
"I am delighted that our colleagues can share in the success of this achievement through doubling their discount this coming weekend.”
