Rolls-Royce has reintroduced a bikes-for-work scheme for its 20,000 UK employees.
The car manufacturer had previously offered a scheme in 2009, but discontinued it because it felt it was difficult to administer and there were ongoing changes from HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) on some aspects of the scheme.
Miriam Valten-Agnew, head of share plans and UK benefits at Rolls-Royce, said: “The 2009 scheme was based on HMRC’s rules at the time. The current plan is based on current, slightly changed, HMRC guidance.”
The new scheme, which is provided by Cyclescheme, was communicated to staff via email, the firm’s intranet site, and posters and brochures that were sent out to all sites.
