Although nearly half (43%) of reward professionals predict a period of growth in 2010 and are upbeat about their organisation's future (48%), a large majority (93%) still feel pressure to minimise costs and improve return on investment.
Despite this, 70% do not know how much they spend on benefits, according to the seventh annual Employee Rewards Watch by Thomsons Online Benefits. This has risen from 41% in the 2008 survey.
Also, 36% of respondents have not measured the success of their package. Just 9% have measured the cost savings
Looking ahead to the next 12 months, 32% plan to look at their health and wellbeing strategy, 30% intend to review their pension scheme and 21% aim to introduce total reward statements.
