Punch Taverns is to carry out a benefits audit following its acquisition of Spirit Group earlier this year in order to ensure that there is no overlap of perks between the two organisations which continue to operate separately.
The audit will look at the rationale behind the benefits offered, the contractual documentation and the relationships between each organisation and its benefits providers.
Anthony York, head of reward at Punch Taverns, explained: "Where we have similar benefits in place it makes sense to be managing one policy, so it is a case of looking at benefits on an individual basis."
Following the planned November completion of the audit, the pub company intends to increase control over existing benefits by incoporating them into just one HR policy.
