Pensions and risk consultancy Hymans Robertson is to introduce a series of financial education seminars from January 2019, in order to broaden the wellbeing offering provided for its 850 UK-based employees.
The 45-minute, face-to-face seminars, which will be conducted by financial planning and advice business 1825, will be held across Hymans Robertson’s operating sites in Birmingham, Edinburgh, Glasgow and London from January 2019.
The sessions will cover subject matter such as pensions, tailored to reflect the Hymans Robertson pension scheme, savings and investments, for example the benefits of using an individual savings account (Isa), mortgages, debt consolidation and budgeting, annual and lifetime allowances and estate planning, which will discuss wills, power of attorney, trusts, tax efficiency and tax compliance.
These topics reflect feedback from Hymans Robertson’s employee focus group and its network of wellbeing champions. At least eight sessions will be held on each of the subject areas across all of the organisation's UK sites.
The seminars were initially launched to employees during Hymans Robertson’s wellbeing week, which ran in October 2018. They are also being promoted across the staff intranet, as well as via targeted wellbeing communications.
Steve Moore (pictured), head of human resources at Hymans Robertson, said: “I am really pleased to extend our employee wellbeing offering into the financial wellbeing space. These seminars will complement what we offer with our physical, mental and social wellbeing initiatives.
“The suite of workshops will provide something for everyone in our business, depending on their financial priorities at this point in their lives.”
