Peel Ports Group has introduced a car salary sacrifice scheme for its 1,100 members of staff.
The scheme, provided by Tusker, launched in May 2015. It will build on the group’s flexible benefits scheme, which was introduced in 2014.
Howard Sloane, group human resources (HR) director at Peel Ports Group, said: “We have been pleasantly surprised with the immediate number of employees who have opted into the car scheme, and this demonstrates a clear and thorough communication programme by the HR team at Peel Ports Group, supported by the team at Tusker.
“But it’s not just our current employees who benefit. With so much recruitment activity, such as the 500 extra colleagues required for our new deep water container terminal at the Port of Liverpool, which is due to open at the end of 2015, providing an award-winning benefits package for our employees is extremely important to our group. With this addition to our flexible benefits package we are confident in attracting the right candidates to our organisation.”
