Nuffield Health has launched a nutritional service to help employees improve their health by gaining a comprehensive view of their diet.
The new service will give employers a comprehensive survey of the dietary habits of its workforce, from which the nutrition team will produce a bespoke plan ranging from seminars and workshops to internal communication programmes.
The service utilises a dietary analysis tool, the Food Calculator, to break down an employee’s diet and compare it with government guidelines. An employee enters a three-day food diary into the Food Calculator, which then generates a report for the individual.
The report gives an employee an insight into their diet, showing, for example, salt or sugar levels. It also outlines the strengths and how to address any deficiencies.
The launch follows Nuffield Health’s acquisition of Mythbreaker Nutrition.
Laura Kerby, managing director clinical products and services at Nuffield Health, said: “This is a very exciting moment for Nuffield Health. We are rapidly becoming established as a broad-based health group, able to service a wide range of people’s health needs.
“This launch is the next step, enhancing our nutritional services and strengthening our wellbeing offering to [employers].”
