Warrington and Halton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has added a salary sacrifice car scheme to its flexible benefits package.
The scheme, which is available to all 3,900 permanent employees, provides staff with the opportunity to access to a range of additional features, including motor insurance, maintenance, servicing, replacement tyres and European breakdown assistance.
A carbon cap of 150g/km has also been set, in line with the trust’s policy of carbon reduction and sustainability.
Mel Pickup, chief executive at Warrington and Halton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, said: “We pride ourselves on providing a good benefits package to our staff and wanted to ensure that our employees had access to a safe, well-maintained, fully-insured and environmentally-friendly new car as part of that. Our new salary sacrifice car scheme ticks all those boxes.”
The scheme was launched to staff at both Warrington and Halton hospital locations through benefits roadshows and a series of internal promotions, posters and emails.
The scheme is provided by Tusker, in conjunction with NHS CPC Drive, the health service fleet management offering.
