The National Association of Pension Funds (NAPF) has produced a guide to pensions simplification to help organisations get to grips with the subject.

The body, which looks after pension issues on behalf of employers, introduced the 28 page guide to help those in charge of occupational schemes understand pension changes that occur under the Finance Act 2004.

The guide aims to help employers grasp what they need to know and what they need to do before the changes come into effect in April 2006. It explains the importance of reviewing existing pension arrangements as well as offering tips on how to review the design of benefits in relation to the legislation.

The NAPF's 'Guide to the new tax regime' can be obtained by calling 020 7808 1300. It costs £7 for NAPF members and £14 for non-members.
